Man that was slick by Vorobyev on his goal. Have to wonder if 3C is within reach |

Any chance the Flyers site will pick up the Isles feed like they did previously? |

I love JVR’s big butt screening the goalie on the power play. Look at both ghost goals... Gotta give JVR’s butt the assist there.
Myers looked ok tonight IMO. Some good plays and some slips. I think Zamula and Friedman quietly had good nights.
Vorobyov looks like he is trying to lock down 3C. Good for him.
Was really watching Hart tonight. Man he is so technically sound and so smooth along the ice. I really can’t wait for this kid. It’s like seeing all the presents under your tree before Christmas. This preseason is the one you get to open the night before.... |

2nd PP unit of Konecny-Patrick-Simmonds with Provorov-Sanheim is making me a little giddy. |

Hope Hexy sings Zamula to an ELC...clearly still very raw but he has the potential to turn out like Myers. The talent is there, the size is there, so why not give him a chance. If it doesnt work out, it doesnt work out |

My game Observations:
- Vorobyev looks like he belongs. Was very smooth with the puck. Solid little defensive plays in his own zone. Playing with Voracek and JVR he didn't look like a rookie. Also made some nice plays on the PK.
- Laughton looked solid on the wing. Created some chances. Made some nice plays on the PK.
- Myers looked good. Used his skating well but also was able to be physical in neutralizing rushes.
- Zamula had a quiet good game. Has the physical tools. I think he could get a deal. Seems like a low risk chance like Myers was. has all the physical tools and skills you want. just needs some time.
- Weise was ok. Still seems to not bring enough physical play on the boards like he was signed for.
- Weal was ok. He had spurts but also if he is competeing with Vorobyev for the 3rd line center spot he needs to be even better. Not saying he was bad just Vorobyev look that good. yes I know, one meaningless preseason game.
- Vets looked solid. Seemed like PP had a little change where they are dropping a little lower on the half wall to maybe open Gostisbehere at the point for the bomb a little more.

Also Aube-Kubel looked good. played with speed. Was physical but also showed good skill making some plays and getting some chances. |

really hope G has another strong year, great that he added the muscle. G has been a class act for 10 years in Philly. He was asked to carry the franchise and has always given it everything he had, never made excuses or compalined. It really looks like he will finally get a squad around him to help him do the lifting. |

He had better be focused with those Gostibehere bullets flying past his face.

Out of the young players, I thought Aube-Kubel and Vorobyev stood out. Aube-Kubel was strong on the forecheck and seemed to always be around the puck. Vorobyev just seems to play a solid all around game. |

Pretty much agree with all of this. Yeah, Weise looked ok. However, knowing that your roster spot is at risk and looking ok against a bunch of kids and minor leaguers is nothing to write home about. Ever since he's been with the Flyers, Weise will have a game or even a short stretch of games where he'll look like the player Hextall expected him to be when he signed him. Then he'll disappear and be completely useless for long stretches. (frank) him.

I kept imagining a 4th line of Aube-Kubel - Laughton - Raffl. Cause trouble with their speed and forecheck. Still have skill to create chances. All can kill penalties.
Vorobyev looked calm. He even did some solid work on the PK. Other then the early penalty he never seemed out of position or panicked with the puck. |

Agreed. Also thought Myers played pretty well and that Zamula looked like a kid with some potential. |

If things go the way i want to see, I have a hard time seeing him or Lehtara in the stating lineup.
Giroux - Couturier - Konecny
JVR - Patrick - Voracek
Lindblom - Vorobyev - Simmonds
Aube-Kubel - Laughton - Raffl
Extras: Weal(maybe traded), Lehtara
Waived: Weise, Leier

Great to be able to watch some of the game. Season is almost here!
I felt that Weal played okay but didn't do enough to separate from Vorobyev. I thought Weise had a little jump. Won some board battles. Was around the net a few times. It will be interesting to see how Lehtera performs.
Myers and Provy could be THE dominant d pair in the NHL for the next decade (imo). Too bold? Get Myers a regular number and stop Richarding around. Hagg may be odd man out.
Hart allowed a few rebounds at the start. I didn't see much of the 3rd period. He may have settled down. He does move well. NAK looked okay. Zamula needs a contract. Why not sign him and watch him develop? G looks good. Obviously, Ghost and Provy were in good form. Thought Friedman jumped in the play a little too much (seemed like every shift he was going to the net). There was at least 1 odd man rush that didn't really develop into a scoring chance but it stemmed from Freidman jumping in the play in the O zone. |
